OUR STORY
Fifty years of doing it right.
Since 1977, American Fine Arts Foundry has been the shop artists call when there’s no room for error. That trust doesn’t come easy, and we don’t take it for granted.

The Principle
For 50 years, American Fine Arts Foundry has operated on a principle that sounds simple but isn’t: if you’re going to do something, do it right.
That means an organization that dials in alloy ratios to the hundredth of a percent. It means hands that have solved every problem bronze can throw at you. It means walking through the shop and feeling the difference between people who cast metal and people who live it.

How We Do It
When an artist comes calling with a napkin sketch asking: “how would you do this?” — we talk it through. Manufacturability. Structural engineering. Transportation. Installation. The whole arc. When a first-time public artist needs credibility at their pitch meeting, AFA shows up. When an institution is nervous about writing a six-figure deposit check to an unproven sculptor, AFA becomes prime contractor and carries the project.
This isn’t customer service. It’s partnership.
The team makes it all possible. Our production manager has forgotten more about foundry work than most people will ever know. Same across the shop — craftspeople with 15, 20, 25 years experience, who’ve seen every challenge bronze can throw at them.
But technical mastery only explains part of why artists and designers keep coming back. Professionalism. Responsiveness. Clear communication. Accountability. Stewardship. These are foundational to how we operate. One-off figurative work, editions, large-scale public art—it doesn’t matter. Same approach, every time.
Who We Do It For
American Fine Arts serves everyone who values excellence in bronze sculpture.
Institutions commissioning public monuments for the first time. Cities navigating complex stakeholder environments. Developers who need cultural centerpieces that define a space. Individual artists, whether they’re doing limited editions, landing their first major commission, or bringing three decades of established work. Organizations honoring achievement through prestigious awards — SAG, Writers Guild, NBA.
The work varies. The values don’t.
For architects: a partner who protects design intent while navigating contractor realities.
For artists: someone who understands the creative process and shows up for the institutional challenges.
For cities and institutions: on-time, on-budget delivery without the drama.
Nearly five decades of evolution has taught AFA one thing: elevated workmanship transcends project type.
Bring Your Vision
This is AFA’s territory. And they’d love to meet you there.
If you have a project in mind, we are ready to collaborate and bring it to life with the same level of care, precision, and craftsmanship AFA is known for.
