Mold Making

100% accurate reproduction of fine detail and nuance

Professional mold making services

The construction of an accurate mold is paramount to the production of highly detailed bronze sculpture.  It serves as the first, crucial step in the “Lost Wax” casting process.  If performed poorly or improperly, it can, and most often does, degrade the artistic integrity of the original sculpture.

To ensure this never happens, American Fine Arts Foundry employs professional mold makers who only use the finest mold making materials, and who are capable of reproducing even the finest details with accuracy, consistency, and complete artistic integrity.  With their keen understanding of the “Lost Wax” process also comes the experience necessary to design molds for simpler, more streamlined production, a skill that keeps costs down for you, our valued customer.

Sculpture Enlargements and Reductions

Create new options and opportunities

Scale your sculpture up or down

Modifying the scale of your art can be a time consuming proposition, which is why we only use state of the art 3-D laser scanning technology that efficiently enlarges or reduces any size sculpture, from table-top to monumental, with incredible detail and accuracy.

At our disposal are 5 fast and accurate foam carving machines, an inexpensive bead foam for low detail models, a high-density urethane foam for high detail models, and, for special applications, premium Stereo-Lithography services.

Whatever the size, American Fine Arts Foundry can help you scale your sculpture with ease.

Bronze Restoration and Conservation

Revitalize your art with bronze

Restoration and conservation services, including re-patina and maintenance

Even bronze, one of the most durable art mediums in existence, needs to be conserved and maintained, which is why in addition to providing the full spectrum of art foundry services, American Fine Arts Foundry also specializes in the restoration and conservation of bronze sculpture and artwork.

No matter the size, no matter the style, no matter the degree to which your bronze artwork has worn over time, we possess the tools and skills necessary to bring it back to life.

Re-patina, too, is another specialty of American Fine Arts.  Tired of that drab, lifeless patina that’s never quite suited the piece?  Bring your bronze in or send us pictures, and consult with one of our patina artists to create something sophisticated, whimsical, or unique.  The choice is yours and the options are limitless.
